In California, Apple launched the Ipad 3- (Apple is calling it simply “Ipad”). While the Ipad looks a lot like Ipad 2 it has new internal hardware, a higher resolution screen, twice as sharper, (with a 264ppi- which is technically a retina screen).

Software
The new Ipad has an A5x processor with quad core graphics .This is supposed to be twice as fast as A5soC is supposed to be twice as fast as Tegra 3 and has four times the performance.

The stock apps have been updated to take advantage of the new sharper screen.
Apps like Iwork and GarageBand have been updated. The Ipad now has the iphoto app. Now you can edit pictures that are on your Mac or Macbook.

New Camera

Most of us have never liked the poor camera quality on Ipad 2- and Ipad 1 never even had a camera. The new Ipad camera has an updated camera with a 5 MP shooter which can record 1080p video.

You can even dictate to your Ipad in various languages including English, French, Japanese and German. Productivity is increased with this Ipad.

LTE

This Ipad will provide you with fast speed networking. It has 21 Mbps HSPA+, 42 Mbps, DC-HSDPA, 73 bps LTE. In short this is very fast data connectivity.
You will be able to use this speed with various data providers such as Verizon and AT&T. It also works with 3G like the Ipad 2.

Battery
The new Ipad is less than 10m thin. It weighs 1.4 pounds. While it is a little heavier than the previous Ipad- this is for good. The reason is that this Ipad has larger batteries. The battery will last 10 hours which is great for an Ipad with 4LTE

Price and availability

Ipad 3 price is graduated like the previous models. $499, $599 and $699 for the 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB respectfully. The LTE versions cost $629. $729, and $829.Noite that you can still buy the Ipad 2 whose price has now dropped to $399 and $529.

Our preliminary verdict.

We are keeping our Ipad 2 for now. For new customers – the Ipad 2 is now a steal at only $399. For most people the differences between ipad 3 and 1 will not be noticeable. We are not convinced that the new features deserve upgrade especially with the new higher prices. Our IPhone 4s looks like has more features than this Ipad. However if the 4g speed and better display matter to you ,and new higher prices are ok with you go ahead and get it
